The 23rd Street Association is
working with the Whole Foods Market in Chelsea to raise
funds for the incoming Flatiron/23rd Street
Partnership, a new
Business Improvement District
that will serve the Flatiron, Madison Square Park and
23rd Street areas (map).
Throughout the month of April,
Whole Foods
customers can add $2, $5, $10 or any combination of
the above to their purchase using coupons available
at each register. All of the funds raised will go
towards the BID’s community beautification and
maintenance projects, such as street cleaning,
graffiti removal and various other initiatives.
This fundraising campaign was
organized by Timothy
Cohen, Program Director of the 23rd Street
Association and Rebecca Ulanoff, Director of
Marketing at Chelsea Whole Foods, located on 24th
Street and 7th Avenue.
