The Green Innovator: A Unique Interactive Curriculum and Education
Program for High School Students and Teachers- Free Teacher Workshop
|
| Wednesday, February 14, 2008, 4:00-6:00pm, FREE At the New York Hall of Science 47-01 111 St Corona, Queens
We are all designers. Why not design for a better world?
The
Green Innovator is a new education program; a tool and catalyst for
change in how your students see the world and everything in it. Through
the lens of applied design, The Green Innovator empowers students to
become designers for a more sustainable world and community. With
print, online and activity resources, it's the perfect companion to
integrate math, science, language arts with real world content and
critical thinking strategies.
Developed for, but not exclusivley
for HIgh School students, The Green Innovator is perfect for all ages,
but compliment High School science, math and technology studies
perfectly. Adaptable modules allow teachers to pick and choose from
short or long-term activities that include real world case studies,
hands-on activities, field studies, research opportunities and
assessments. The idea of sustainability may be complex, but with The
Green Innovator, students will be able to navigate an emerging "green" field ready for challenges that will affect our shared future.
Download the Green Innovator brochure. Download the Green Innovator flyer.
Teachers
interested in participating in the workshop should register by email to
